I picked up my mom’s old film camera back in high school and have had one in my hands ever since. Photography has always been my “just for fun” thing—since forever.
In 2017, I finally ditched the corporate grind (bye, soul-sucking meetings 👋) to focus on my family and chase this dream full-time. Best decision ever.
As the daughter of small business owners, I grew up watching my parents build something incredible. Deep down, I always knew I wanted to do the same. Starting Glimmer Images was my way of combining my passions: the love of family, the power of storytelling, and the freedom to create something that’s truly beautiful.
Over the years, my focus has become clear: capturing my subjects just as they are—playful, vibrant, perfectly imperfect. A crooked grin paired with a sneaky wink. The bear hug that knocks you over. A toddler meltdown that turns into belly laughs. These are the glimmers. The perfectly imperfect moments that make your family yours. That’s what I’m here for.
Sessions with me aren’t stiff or stressful—they feel more like hanging out with a friend who happens to have a camera in hand. We’ll laugh, we’ll play, we’ll chase the sunset. And you’ll walk away with photos that feel real.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m chasing my kids, drinking my coffee (usually cold—mom life), chasing snow, or sneaking away to Torch Lake.

Mari is our easygoing, fun-loving Associate Photographer who has a knack for turning any session into a relaxed, joyful experience. She’s drawn to the little storytelling moments—the spontaneous giggles, the sideways glances, the hugs that sneak in when you least expect them.
Clients often say she has a way of making everyone feel at ease right away, so the camera feels invisible and the real personalities shine through. Her style is playful, candid, and full of warmth—perfect for families who want photos that actually feel like them.
When she’s not behind the camera, Mari can be found hiking, running, playing pickleball, testing new recipes, or cuddling with her dog. She loves meeting new families and capturing the unique energy that makes each one special.
