Hi. I’m Elisse.

I picked up my mom's vintage SLR and began studying photography in high school and it has been a part of my life ever since.

My focus is lifestyle portraiture and clients describe my style as playful, vibrant, and authentic. I seek out the little glimmers that we experience every day without a second glance - a crooked smile, a tender touch, an awkward glance, a sneaky wink...or an impromptu sunset dance party in a hayfield (I mean, YOLO!) I capture these glimmers so that my clients will never forget their authentic selves - how they looked, how they felt at this moment, and through the seasons and stages of their lives.  

It’s not enough for my clients to look amazing, I want them to feel amazing during our time together and every time they look at their images. I measure my success by how much we laugh together and how excited clients are to display, cherish and share their final images. 

In addition to families, I have the pleasure of working with entrepreneurs and small businesses, providing personal branding and custom headshot photography. 

I believe that kindness is magic and that quirks and imperfections are what make humans beautiful. I look for strength and beauty in the midst of daily chaos and I love my family more than anything. When I'm not chasing glimmers of life for others, I'm savoring them with my three kiddos. 

I am based in Silver Spring, Maryland, and work and play throughout the Washington DC metro area. In the summertime, you will find me in Northern Michigan based out of our family cottage on Torch Lake.
