Meet Mari – Our New Associate Photographer
Big news: Glimmer Images is growing — and we couldn’t be more excited to introduce you to Mari, the newest member of our associate team!
Mari has this magical way of showing up to a session and instantly putting everyone at ease. She’s calm, playful, and totally unbothered by the chaos that usually comes with kids (in fact, she loves it). Her sessions feel less like a photo shoot and more like hanging out with a friend who happens to be amazing with a camera.
I love capturing the in-between moments — the belly laughs, the snuggles, the quiet little connections that make a family feel like home.

Teenage Google Search → Instant Career
Elisse: What drew you to photography in the first place?
Mari: When I was around 13 or 14, I Googled a list of hobbies, and “photography” was at the top. I immediately decided that was it! I started with a Kodak point-and-shoot, did odd jobs to save up for gear, took high school classes, and by senior year I was already photographing people professionally.
Candid Moments Are Her Jam
Elisse: What kinds of moments do you love capturing?
Mari: Candid, storytelling moments — the natural, documentary style that shows what people and their relationships are really like.
Instant Chill Vibes
Elisse: What do clients usually say about working with you?
Mari: That I make them feel relaxed quickly, that I’m easy to connect with, and that sessions with me are fun and stress-free.
Why She Loves Photographing Our Community
Elisse: What excites you most about photographing families in our community?
Mari: I love getting to interact with the beauty and diversity of each family — and capture the love they share.
The Glimmer Images community is in for a real treat! We feel very lucky to have Mari on our team. She brings her whole heart into this work, and her ability to see the beauty in the messy, silly, real-life moments makes her a perfect fit for our families.
When She’s Not Behind the Lens
Elisse: What do you like to do outside of photography?
Mari: I love to run, hike, play pickleball, travel, cuddle with my dog, watch shows with my husband, try new recipes, and I’m constantly reading.
